Homes for Sale in Brooklyn and Manhattan

This week’s properties are located in TriBeCa, the East Village and Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The inside of a building does not much depend on the outside.

If we start with the inside and wrap it with the outside
we can get any of these urban spaces and put the doors and windows where they need to be.
The view out the windows will be better and there will be natural light and air.

Stores Must Keep Doors Closed if Air-Conditioning Is On

A new law is intended to save energy in New York City by forbidding shops and restaurants to lure customers on sweltering days with blasts of cold air out on the sidewalk.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermocline
It should be possible to provide cold (40 f.) sea water by pumping it from 450' depths in the open ocean.
The capital costs will be high but the energy costs will be trivial.
There will be no danger of legionella.
It would aircondition the city and flush the harbor.

Deforestation and Drought

Many experts believe that deforestation is taking place on such a large scale that it has already significantly altered the world’s climate.

Out of time.  Back this evening.

Jim Robbins has not understood the interaction of forest, soil, wind, rain, sea and sun.  I would have a hard time dealing with the mechanics of the Amazon.
His model is not good. The model exists and that is necessary and new.

Deforestation causes drought.
