Josh Harkinson of Mother Jones: an Interiori Deparment IG investigation covering the period from 2004-2007 turns up evidence that "employees of the Minerals Management Service [in Lake Charles, Louisiana] spent time trading links to Internet porn, shaking off crystal meth buzzes, and partying on the dime of the oil companies that they were supposed to be regulating." The IG "found 'a culture where the acceptance of gifts from oil and gas companies was widespread.'" Here's a link to the report (pdf), which is short & readable.
