Michigan: State Senate Approves Aid to Help Flint Residents Pay Water Bills

Michigan’s Senate completed legislation authorizing $30 million in supplemental aid to help Flint residents pay their water bills.

The state of Michigan poisoned the Flint water supply.
It seems gratuitous to demand payment for the poison.

Residents in India’s capital region have been left without running water after protesters sabotaged a major canal.

Indonesia’s Top Court Rules Against Educators in Sex Assault Case

The court reinstated convictions and prison sentences for the two men, who vehemently denied abusing children at a prestigious international school.

Indonesia is a sovereign nation.

Sovereignty only means the rest of the world is not permitted to interfere with Indonesian legal procedures.

This decision appears politically driven and unjust.

Coast Guard Vessel Capsizes During Fishing Boat Rescue Near Queens

Seven fishermen whose ship ran aground off Rockaway Beach were airlifted to safety early Thursday morning after a harrowing overnight rescue attempt.

The beaches of the south shore are notorious as a ship trap.
The modern radar must have been out of commission.

This is an old fashioned marine accident.
The breaches bouy was developed for these rescues.

I think the boat was headed toward George's Bank for sea scallops.
