Fed Sees No Need to Raise Rates Soon
“Fed Sees No Need to Raise Rates Soon - http://bit.ly/27d2xH”
      http://topics.nytimes.com/top/reference/timestopics/organizations/f/federal_reserve_system/index.html?scp=1&sq=Federal%20funds%20rate&st=cse
They don't like to talk about such things.
A few stories down they are keeping the rate low.
Here is a search that turns up Krugman only:
      http://query.nytimes.com/search/sitesearch?query=liquidity+trap&date_select=full&srchst=cse
I tried Google.  They lead with a great deal of denial.
      A more careful search found:
      http://web.mit.edu/krugman/www/trioshrt.html
This almost eleven year old paper of the Japanese problems
Was a discovery for him.  The liquidity trap was real and here was an example.

Here is a more recent discussion:
      http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/07/14/nobody-understands-the-liquidity-trap-wonkish/

There is no way to start the economy by dumping money into the top of it.  It will not cause monetary inflation.

Can U.S. Colleges Defend Academic Freedom? - Room for Debate
When China has banned scholars, U.S. universities haven't fought back. Should they be doing more do defend academic freedom?
They cannot defend academic freedom in China.  They have no basis to attempt it.

Charles Ferguson Dissects the Wall Street Meltdown
      “See this movie: http://nyti.ms/acn4Tu”
I am sorry to say that there have been no effective repairs made.

TARP stopped the bleeding and that was all the profiteers wanted.
The attempted stimulus painted over the damage.
There has been no real repair of the system.
I can go on at length but I have just dealt with the Liquidity trap
the Wall Street meltdown landed us in.
I like many others am waiting for the "other shoe".
Kicking things down the road has kept the rich rich so far.
Another day is all they want on any day.

      No, sadly.

Something was learned.  If it was the proper thing I can't tell.
      Here is a better experiment:

      You reduce the data.
I can't easily find a statistical picture for the civil war.
It is in the Times recently.
Killing people is not very educational.

      Looking Beyond the Glittery Baubles
“Looking Beyond the Glittery Baubles - http://bit.ly/7L5ZmZ”
I like Metalifferous.  Their price for silver and tools is decent.
Go a block west to Reed Metals for gold.  The man I have gone to for stones has moved on.  Metaliferous can tell me where.  There was an old established hobby shop across the street.  The place is full of tool shops and watch makers.  All very knowledgeable.   Do not deal with the hawkers on the street.  Go with an introduction.

From a Goldman Sachs Mortgage Team, a Single Court Case

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fabrice_Tourre#Abacus_mortgage-backed_CDOs
"Goldman and one of its traders, Fabrice Tourre, were later sued by the SEC over circumstances surrounding one of these CDOs, Abacus 2007-AC1. (See below in this article) In late 2010 Tourre asked for dismissal of the suit against him based on the repercussions of the Morrison v. National Australia Bank Ltd Supreme Court case, claiming his deals were outside the US and thus not subject to certain US laws.[119][120][121]"

An early thing I will do is go to the local university and ask for a grant.  Studio space and living money.
