Making Laws About Making Babies - Room for Debate
In America, one sperm donor can have 150 or more offspring. Other nations would not allow this. Should the U.S. emulate their stricter laws?   No.  Safe and effective is really enough.  I have no problem with one donor getting much used.  With multiple banks there is no way to maintain privacy and limit inseminations.  Other procedures are for other debates. I really have no objections to any of them.  Good sense should prevail.
If we are going to attempt an artificial child we should start as soon as possible.  Planning should start now.  Who does what?

Can Israel Survive Without a Palestine? - Room for Debate
Abbas and Netanyahu are at a stalemate on the statehood issue. Wouldn't Israel be better off with a viable Palestine?
No.  The resources of the area will not support two viable states.
We must then consider a one state solution.
It can be Israel. It cannot be a Jewish state. It also cannot be an Islamic or Christian state.  I favor separation of state and Religion. The successor state in the region must take in all the resident and refugee populations and deal fairly with them. There is compensation to be paid there are adjustments that must be made. When there are no secessionist territories unreconstructed secessionists become bandits and criminals.  These can be dealt with by the civil authorities.

Israel Is Not a Superpower - Room for Debate
Hatred of Israel in the Arab world is not sufficient reason for prolonging the frozen posture that the Israeli government has adopted.
    true.

Can the Middle Class Be Rebuilt? - Room for Debate
Should the government strive to create middle-paying jobs? If that is a lost battle, what is the alternative path to recovery?
Not directly. Create a need for a large unskilled labor force and the managerial people will go to work.

Showing Gay Teens a Happy Future
A new online video channel is reaching out to teenagers who are bullied at school for being gay. The message: life really does get better after high school.
Sooner is better.                As soon as you can is best.

Living Beyond Your Means When You're Not Rich - Room for Debate
Easy consumer credit and a belief in social mobility have reduced the clamor for redistribution.
    No, they are redistribution.

B.C. is wonderful this time of year or any time for that matter.
Cold and wet is not bad with a roof and a fire.

    Desktop Manufacturing
I would rather carve or cast things. Scale is a real problem. Size costs more. There are rental services if they are required.
