Un-Innocents Abroad: The Drubbing

http://artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/01/ask-the-dancers-young-americans-in-a-russian-bastion/ Compare to the young American woman oversees featured in the link above. Real life is so much more compelling than Hollywood make-believe.

Being broke is no fun at all. It is compelling. Hollywood product does not compel.

When it tries it does a terrible job. Production is much more fascinating to me than the product. Yet I would rather see the art Than hear about it. I find understanding process adds to the experience.

For me make believe is just a place to start. I want a well constructed story. Condiments are good but they are not a meal.

The writing makes the story. The producer makes the movie. The director makes the pictures. The actors make headlines. The movie can be good or bad.

The place I want to be is with you. That is a reality.
