Are Cells the New Cigarettes?

Gavin Newsom, San Francisco’s iPhone-loving mayor, takes on potential cellphone dangers.

He is a politician, he knows nothing of electromagnetism. He knows people are afraid. A sign at point of sale is within his power.

The branders, people who market cell phones, know that they have been told their product is merchantable. Their customers are nervous about radiation. All radiation. The radio signals and light the customers have encountered all their lives they do not consider radiation. It is as is the warmth of a fire. The emissions of a cell phone are about as intense as these. really less because you cannot feel them. The sales people think their customers are reluctant and do not wish them to be more so. No scary sign is worth money and effort.
