Bill Wilson’s Gospel

The story of Alcoholics Anonymous teaches us about human nature and the kinds of social programs that do and don’t work.

I am glad to see that David Brooks may have found another greater power. I understand the need but am unable to follow that path. Alcohol has yet to exert a hold on me though I have seen it work. I am given an occasional beer I have not bought one for over a year. I stop at one. It matters to me. If going to meetings helps, do it. I will keep it out of the house. I do not want to give up the denatured solvent. I will if necessary.
