  • I must get to work. I will continue tonight.
  • You blew it this time, Tom. Israel went far beyond the bounds of reasonable response when it set armed men down on unarmed vessels in international waters. This was piracy. The fact that all the dead were volunteers on the vessels, and even Israel failed to find a single firearm on board, underlines the fact that this was an atrocity committed by Israel. Unlike many earlier atrocities against Palestinians, however, this one was done before the whole world. Israel will attempt to whitewash the affair, as it has done before. Only an international investigation -- with Israel and its military fully cooperating -- can come to a fair conclusion. Your response is as spineless as that of Obama and Clinton. It is time we disavowed Israel and stopped supplying it with arms and support.

    Israel and the Blockade

"we must tell the Palestinians, that we have no solution, you shall continue to live like dogs, and whoever wishes, may leave." - moshe dayan "the Israeli Army has always struck civilian populations, purposely and consciously...the Army, he said, has never distinguished civilian [from military] targets...[but] purposely attacked civilian targets." - Zeev Schiff, prominent Israeli historian, summerizing the remarks of Chief of Staff Mordechai Gur.

A Storyteller Loses the Story Line

..."Reid asked for an exact definition of what constitutes emotion for Obama: “Can you describe it? Does he yell and scream? What does he do?” GEEZ, Maureen, do you want Barry to act like an hysteric! We have Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck for that. And Dubya certainly had his hysterical good old boy moments! I think you and the other pundits miss the point! This is not a man given to theatrics! He really is no-drama Obama. That does not mean that he does not feel deeply and express himself in his own style. It just means that it is not for public consumption. YIKES! What is America if not screaming, yelling, winning the lottery and giving high fives? Have you ever heard of INTROVERSION? My problem with Obama is that he is too much a mediator. I am hoping that he is learning that does not always work, and that he will find his own way effectively to take charge. I have to say, however, when I think of the "doo-doo" that was dropped in his lap by Dubya and Darth, I wonder sometimes how he makes it out to the White House lawn with Bo! That is much easier "doo-doo" to cope with! Let us all give this man a break, please! He is loaded to the gills with inherited crises and things that have happened on his watch--which are not in the least his fault! We can criticize him, and I do. However, would you rather have Dubya and Darth back at the wheel? I'll take a mediating, cerebral introvert ANY TIME! Besides, he really is a grown up!

After Raid, Videos Carry On the Fight

Author Brian Stelter, sorry, but your stance, and Israel's hasbara (propaganda) brigade, falls square into the addage: If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with B.S. - you wonder who started it - by trying to judge via whatever video you can get your hands on. Anything captured on video on the Freedom Flotilla boats between humanitarians bearing charity for the suffering people under Israel's ruthless military siege is after the first move - Israel's military piracy invading the boats - armed to the teeth. They had no right. How the victims chose to defend themselves is entirely moot.
