I haven't read all the comment but I'm sure there are a lot bashing teachers, school, seniority system, teachers pay etc ... To those I ask, what should a teacher earn to be able to live a middle class life like you and me? Should teachers be required to work more than an eight hour day? Should teachers be require to spend off time grading papers or tests? An acquaintance who is a teacher recently commented that she received an e-mail from a parent which said "We will not tolerate any homework as our kids are involved in other after school activities." Sooo what is a teacher to do with parents like this.
