Minnesota: Dalai Lama Cancels Schedule

The Dalai Lama canceled appearances in the United States after a checkup at the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis and planned to return to India to rest, the University of Colorado and the Tibetan Association of Colorado said Friday.

Finding a replacement for the Dalai Lama will not be easy.

Race and Class Collide in a Plan for Two Brooklyn Schools

A proposal to rezone students from the predominantly white P.S. 8 to the mostly black P.S. 307 has drawn intense opposition from families at both.

Control of the schools will have to return to the communities.

Diversity is not what is desired.
Equality of results is the goal.

Speedy Help for Victims of College Fraud

The government should provide relief to students who were obviously victimized by predatory for-profit schools.

Class action suits seem appropriate.

The money has mostly been distributed to stockholders and is probably not recoverable.  Debt forgivness for the victims of fraud looks fair to me.
The directors and administrations are probably criminally liable.
