Why Isn't the U.S. a Leader in Green Technology? - Room for Debate
Americans pride themselves on being global leaders in innovation. So why is the nation lagging behind China and Germany on renewable energy?

    Cholera Grips Haiti
Cholera is mainly a problem in civil engineering.
Pure water and sewers are just not romantic. The Haitians will continue to die of this very treatable disease until there is a government there that understands urban design and construction.

Write the contracts exercise eminent domain and build the system.
See that powerful people understand that human waste in the watershed is very expensive.
The watershed must remain clean and green or the city will die.
No cows, no goats, no people.
It is not a park or a forest preserve or a land bank.  the water shed is the future.  The sewers are the present.
Make them bigger than the present can imagine. They will not be big enough.
