The need is there as well as the ability.Copyright and patent law need careful reconsideration..Sanctions would not please anyone. I doubt that war is a possibility.Perhaps Intellectual property right can be limited to one market for physical goods.I see no way to enforce property rights on things that transfer as computer files. -

A Little Inflation Can Be a Dangerous Thing
The counter argument to Mr. Volker is very direct.
Keynes called it a liquidity trap. That seems to be a problem.
Fiscal and monetary policy have no effect in our current situation.
Interest rates are so low that holding cash is as or more profitable than holding debt.
We are deflating the currency. Cash is growing in value.
Demand is the way out.
One way to stimulate demand is inflation.
Another is money in the hands of the desperate.
