Dubious Data Belies Supreme Court’s Stance on Repeat Sex Offenders

The court’s assertion that there is a “frightening and high” risk of recidivism among sex offenders has been exceptionally influential, despite a lack of evidence.

Certainly the law deserves careful review.
If the facts are as stated here the laws on sex crimes must change.

Discord at Middlebury: Students on the Anti-Murray Protests

“Student protesters were not violating Mr. Murray’s First Amendment rights when they spoke out against him. They were changing the terms of the discussion.”

Knowing the enemy is an important part of an education.
Exercises in mob rule are counter productive.
Charles Murray is a voice for the American Enterprise Institute.
He is not an ear.  He would not hear protests against the American Enterprise Institute message.
Given the opportunity I would sit in the front and quietly leave the room after his introductory statement.
That would inform me of his position and it would inform him and the audience of my position.

I would hope Charles Murray would finish his presentation to an empty room.
