  1. Entrepreneurship

Insure This Business? Start-Ups Face Challenges

I must carry insurance if I do business.

Apollo Missions to the Moon: The Memorabilia Stage

    The Apollo Mission is over.

       The eagle of the sea!"

The U.S. will return to the moon another way.

  3. Howard Ruff, Quirky Conservative Economist and Author, Dies at 85

    Yes.
He got my attention.   I think I learned better.

  4. Sinosphere

‘World’s Saddest Polar Bear’ to Get a Temporary Reprieve From Home in Chinese Mall

Polar bears are having a hard time.
    The species may be lost.

  5. The Upshot

Surprise! Insurance Paid the E.R. but Not the Doctor

Single payer is a better way.
Obama care was a politically possible compromise.

  6. Editorial Observer

‘Westworld’ and the Moral Dilemma of Cyborgs

Like the city of Chicago, West World, the remake, is an example of bad design.
The sadism of the visitors has been typical of humanity.
The incompetence of the West World maintenance staff is inexcusable.
People must find a different way to deal with their fantasies.
The true hell of West World is the constrained existence of the slaves.

  7. The Race for a Zika Vaccine

    I wish them success.
The world will be a far better place without microcephaly.

The Spanish Lesson I Never Got at School

To live in another language requires immersion as

    Héctor Tobar knows.

  10. Op-Ed Contributor

Bullying in the Age of Trump

Bullying starts small but like a weed it will grow and grow better if fertilized.
The Trump administration will provide the fertilizer.
People must fight the temptation to join in.

  2. Why Democrats Now Need the F.B.I. Director, James Comey

Grasping at straws usually does not help.
    James Comey cannot be fired.
    James Comey cannot be trusted.
  3. Mayor de Blasio Increases New York’s Budget by $1.3 Billion

The city could have fewer problems if the graduated income tax were higher.

  4. Volkswagen to Cut 23,000 German Jobs in Bid to Lift Profit

    14,000 * 25 = 350,000 German employees
    1.6% profitability going for 4%
    I am not hopeful.

An Urban Gardener Who Grew Up to Be a Planeteer

Growing food is a good thing to do.    It gets old.

  7. Taking Note

When Obama’s Gone, Who Will Stand Up for Democracy?

I hope to be able to support the republic.

Majority faction is not a friend of justice.

  8. This Life

When Tech Is a Problem Child

    It is a real problem.
Devices are required for school.  Those must be paid for by the parent.
Beyond that a child must buy its own and pay for any additional service.
Bed time, porn, copyright, privacy . . . I can explain the necessity
but I see no way to enforce a social contract out of my perception.

  9. Antiques

Apollo Missions to the Moon: The Memorabilia Stage

People will go.  The Apollo Missions are over.

  10. Howard Ruff, Quirky Conservative Economist and Author, Dies at 85

    He will not be read.

I must sleep.
