Video: Train Wreck in India Kills Scores

A train derailed in northern India on Sunday, killing more than 100 people. In the aftermath, rescue workers swarmed the mangled cars and survivors waited for news of missing traveling companions.

The Indian railroads are state owned.
As with all public infrastructure they are underfunded and thus poorly maintained.
The passengers are victims.
The derailment qualifies as an accident so far.
