For many Republican voters, that’s all that matters.

There is no right to profit.

I am not able to follow the lead argument.

Edsall seems to hold that the red states are indulging in witch hunting.  Donald Trump is leading the hunt.
The hunt is an appropriate response to economic conditions.

I may be mistaken.
I do not believe I am mistaken.
