A couple years ago I read “The Dawn of Eurasia” by Bruno Macaes. Macaes was
a member of Portuguese government, very neoliberal and fairly awful while
in office, but his book proved quite insightful in most areas outside of
Russia, where what seems to be fear and contempt for Russia distorts his
vision. (I thought this when I read it before the Ukraine invasion.)
