Love captured the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C., becoming the third-oldest winner in PGA Tour history, while Woods failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs, ending his season.

We must change our whole mind-set, one reader writes, while others discuss farmland and housing prices.

Fresh water in California continues to be limited.
The supply is more limited than it has been.
All natural fresh water is committed in California.
In order for the portion committed to any use to increase other uses must be reduced.
Our society usually does such adjustments by increasing the price of water for all users of a supply.
Those who can reduce their costs by using less will do so.
Those who cannot use less must pay.
The price of using water will rise.
More use in any area will raise the price for all codependent users further.
More interconnection will even the price rises between supplies.

Readers’ Turn: Eliminate Fafsa?

A suggestion to remove the college financial aid form called Fafsa led to a discussion that touched on empathy, coddling and fraud.

The purpose of college is the production of an educated elite.
The easiest way to produce such is to educate the children of the existing elite.
Efforts to educate other children are considered  by the self selected elite attempts to dilute their status.  The parents of those other children agree with the effort to broaden the elite.
College attendance will continue to be limited.
The FAFSA is just one of the hurdles.

A few sticks would ease the passage.
The refugees are smart able people.
They should be welcomed by any nation worried by demographic collapse.
There do not appear to be any such nations unworried by cultural change.

Building additional tunnels would be a victory for Democrats.

The St. Paul’s Rape Case Shows Why Sexual-Assault Laws Must Change

In many states, laws requiring evidence that force was used in a rape would have made it difficult for the accuser to bring charges at all.

"Yes means yes" Seems a proper standard.

I do not believe there are multiple levels of rape though others could disagree.

Prosecution should end at the request of the victim along with conviction and acquittal.

Status as a registered sex criminal is ruinous.
