New York Zoning Plan Requires More Affordable Homes

Known as mandatory inclusionary housing, at least 25 percent of units must be set aside for residents with lower incomes.

The urban renewal fight goes on.
The active growing edge of the city seeks low rent.
The passive rent collecting group pursues others incomes.

The proposed plan will not be allowed to work.
It would end the pursuit of new rent by ending low rent areas.

Some of us keep trying to get the balance right.
Others are trying to get an income.

Others incomes are much less important than real risks.
