Rat Body Linked to Blackout at Atomic Site

The operator of the crippled Japanese nuclear plant found a rodent’s scorched body inside a switchboard and said the animal may have short-circuited it.
Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant (Japan); Japan Earthquake and Tsunami (2011); Nuclear Energy;

A scorched rat in the electrical work might well bring down the signal system on the cooling pumps.
It should take about ten minutes to pull it out and bring the system back up.  Checking the system for damage beyond a look and listen can be done
while the cooling system is at work.

Various American companies have parked huge sums of money abroad. One money manager says they should repatriate that wealth, pay taxes on it and then watch their stock prices rise.

These companies have nothing their managers want to do with the money.

Genetics and Heredity; DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid); Privacy;

When one has a genetic sequence one has an ever more detailed family genetic history.   This is a history of what the person was or is.  It does not speak to what the person thought or did.
One of our great cultural problems is the confusion of what a person is, the genetic person, and who a person is, the social person.
People are constrained both by what they are and by who they are.
The social who is much more easily manipulated than the genetic what.
