Senate Approves Research Into Combat Effects on Mental Health
Research into veterans’ suicide received a lift on Tuesday with Senate passage of a measure requiring an independent research program on the effects of combat service on suicide rates and other mental health issues among troops and veterans.I would point out that we do not know enough about mental health, stress and suicide.
If the research can be funded as a military related project it is better as the funding will not easily be cut.
I find I do not mind which pocket the funds come out of if the results of the research are published and available to all.
