      Hold the Halo
Somehow the Catholic faithful are supposed to believe that priests, or at least the better ones, are men with no sex drives. Is there such a thing? The fundamental hypocrisy of this central myth of priesthood rather taints the whole church. The pedophiles only intensify the taint. Were the Pope to adequately punish the pedophiles, he would still be ignoring the fundamental shaky ground on which this institution of priesthood stands.

Does IMF Stand for Impressive Macroeconomic Flexibility?
So the IMF is holding a meeting on rethinking macroeconomic policy (I was invited but couldn’t make the timing work.) And the Fund’s chief economist has already made it clear that he’s open to some serious revision of the prevailing paradigm.

Also the investing public needs to keep an eye on how much Wall Street rewards itself. If bonuses goes through the roof then shenanigans are likely and its time to bail.

A New Clue to Explain Existence
New evidence could help clear up why the universe is composed of matter and not its opposite, antimatter.
An experimental result is not an explanation.
There seems to be an asymetricak result.  How that can happen is another question.

The eighth century decided not to have an hereditary priesthood.  The consequences are with us yet.

Apparently no news happened today.  The politicians politiced. The demonstrators demonstraited.  The police policed.  The markets sagged.  There were no unexpected events.
