The Source of Obama’s Trouble

In Europe jobs creation has been a problem for many years which none of the Socialist governments here have been able to solve because the work rules and unions make it very expensive to hire new workers unless you keep them long term. No way to hire and fire as demand suggests. Obama's whole focus is making America like Europe. Not a good solution.

Bob Herbert does not see that health care is the key part of a jobs program.

If we can unload the health insurance industry from the non-zero sum part of the economy that wealth creating part will grow ambitiously. Job preservation efforts suppress innovation.

All change hurts some thus change is a plot.
