The Return of History

I just don't understand what point Mr.Brooks is trying to make and how it is relevant to today's problems.

Mr. Brooks has a very strange and in my opinion fantastical view of history.

If he is right the Republicans are prophetic. We are off the cliff and waiting to accelerate. This is the result of the actions of Democrats in his view.

We are off the cliff and waiting to accelerate. Republicans have put us there with fifty years of propaganda and bad policy. Mr. Brooks wants to be "not guilty".
