Saving the Post Office

colemandallasMarch 9th, 201011:54 pmthe postal service will survive only if the employees agree to a 17% pay cut for working 5 days instead of 6. otherwise we should cut our (the taxpayer') losses shut it down now. One the taxpayers don't fund the post. Two the employees only work 5 days the schedule is set with another employee doing the 6 day of the route who would lose their job if they go to five days.

Ben Franklin invented it. It was a subsidised service and an arm of the government from the begining. Spinning it off was an effort to kill it in favor of the parcel services. Killing it is still a bad idea.
