I would just as soon stay out of this. I do not approve of hunting whales.I think the Japanese should stop. The North West Tribes Should be allowed to hunt with "Traditional" means for ceremonial use. The arctic natives also should be able to take a few for local consumption. Whale as a luxury is offensive. Whale as an excuse for distant water fishing is more offensive.
