JFK is a sore for me. He was a great relief after Eisenhower and the threat of Nixon. I liked him. I hope he would have ended our involvement in Vietnam.

When the news of his assassination came, I thought it a sick joke and laughed.

I was never forgiven.

I think the aura blinds us to the man. If Spitzer could have arranged to be

shot . . .
