Wow, there's a lot packed into this column, so which absurdity to choose?? I guess Jim Bunning. Why is he considered loopy by even his own conservative buddies? No loopier than the House minority leader who shouts 'No we can't' a dozen times on than video clip, no loopier than Tom Coburn who can't understand why glaciers are melting even though it's snowing in DC. Seriously though, wouldn't a parliamentary system be better than the terrible farce playing out in Washington every day? Would this constitute an overthrow of the US government?

Yes it would. The Knesset is a parliamentary institution. Looped though sober.

People elected these fine representatives of themselves. If they do not satisfy their electorates they can be replaced at the next election. They can usually be recalled but that is harder. They can even be impeached and convicted. That has also been done. Talk among yourselves and decide.
