The European Union’s foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, said at a news conference that Europe would offer “support, not interference,” and urged Ukrainians to maintain good ties with Russia.

The best choice for Ukraine is to default on their debts.

They will be on cash and carry for a few years but they will avoid debt in a foreign currency and irrational austerity.  Foreign trade will be available and they can insist on the Sevastopol leas payments.

When Europe has a rational economy they can join. This is not the time for the E.U.
