His character was exposed in his speech in his defense.

Though it looks good in the headlines the Trump presidency is a failure.
The nation is not doing well.
It is fragmented.
It has a minority government.
The government is in active denial of the facts as determined by previous administrations.
The disastrous results of that denial are only beginning to be apparent.

I fear the lies will last through the midterm election.
A new dark age is a distinct possibility.
