None of these proposals will work or be allowed to exist.

Slow destruction is the best way to lay off the risk of the final demise.

There is a rumor that there is wealth under the Aegean.
The basin is volcanic.  I doubt there is much of value under the sea bed.
There may be hydrothermal vents.  That would be local green energy.
Oil, gas and metals are doubtful.
