Yes, the reactionaries conniption over the down town Islamic Center is unseemly.
An apology is owed.
I do not like venture capitalism. I want to own any money mine I come up with. I can sell it if it gets boring.
China has bought a pig in a poke. I do not want to let the cat out of the bag yet.
I wish you would read before you post. It would comfort my digestion.
They cannot. The best we can do is give them partial survival. Choosing the living is not a job I want. Without doing it we will get the most brutal. None of us are far from cannibalism. Vegetables will do it if the hungry wave does not strip the landscape. We are years from such a disaster but closer if the reactionaries get control. The Russians got there in 1919(?)
Biological remediation Would be better but the houses would cost more.
Still not finally resolved. I think the drug companies are trying to remove "onerous" regulation. UV damage is supposed to cause melanoma, a surfer's disease.
Bill Gates earned his ill repute. He will not be able to buy a good name. We like kids and moms but it is more growth. I cannot damn him for it but I can't cheer him on. More is not better.
Thomas Malthus was right. We have held the population crash off for a few centuries. We may with luck have a couple more decades. I think it is far more important that all the worlds knowledge survive the population crash than that we bring it on a few years sooner. I do not want to try to sell that to the UN or any of the world's religions.

It is called urban planning or development planning. It is a branch of architecture that involves a good deal of civil engineering. These places will be among the early disasters in a population crash. Many of them are already in deep probably unrecoverable trouble. The Mexicans have found a use for prisoners as cannon fodder in their drug war. Given the choice between taxes and prison releases California has chosen releases.
