The requirement of the Hajj maintains orthodoxy and unity. Dissenters are denied the Hajj. There is no moderate Islam. There are extremists as there are LDS.
Thomas Friedman will be wrong as long as he maintains his present opinions.
I do not want to owe my business to a venture capitalist. I think I can found one on the cash available.
I have heard very good things of Dexter. It appears to be very well written. Hodgkin's lymphoma is one of the most cured cancers. Mother is cancer free and has been for more than ten years. The docs did a great deal of damage getting there. I think she is a good deal more able than she pretends. She also has real problems. Mostly short term memory. I expect she will get passed her century if she stays interested. I hope for your action.
The project is good and whatever gets it financed is appropriate. We should give some thought to the desirability of the goal. Small steps toward self sufficiency of nations is the direction I would like to see. There should be survivors of the population crash we seem to be committed to. One of the survivors should be all the literature. We lost too much at the fall of Imperial Rome. We saved the wrong things and have had to reinvent them along with inventing the improvements. Trying to get the world to live as we do would just speed the crash. I think I do not want to tell the world that. Not sustainable is the theme.
The eutrofication Of the bays turned out to be nitrogen limited. Phosphates were not to blame but they got the blame.
Marketing seems to be driving the environmental movement. Most of the problem seems to be to many people and not enough investment in infrastructure. There are biological remedies that just take large installations. They do not advertise well or add to real estate sales. Cheaper to "fix" the detergent.
I have not yet resolved this.
We do like babies and moms. I think The Gateses will not be able to buy a good name but they are welcome to try. More knowledge will survive.
