I agree with you, but what we notice here is how hard it is to get rid of addictions. We as a country, as a world, are addicted to oil, and like any addiction it is very hard to combat, and sometime intervention is needed. We should start thinking of how to treat the oil addiction the same way we think about how to deal with different kinds of addiction.
