Mr. Friedman misidentifies the source of income of the aspirational group he names "NAFTAs". These are the recipients of remittances from the north. The "Mexican" immigration is a "Gold Rush". They are not refugees. They are mercenaries in search of employment.

The "turn key" factories indulge in wage slavery. Their work-force is caught in a debt trap. Labor unions are the way out for them. Unions will destroy the border factories reason for existence and with them another group of nos.
