Key Karzai Aide in Corruption Inquiry Is Linked to C.I.A.

An aide to President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan being investigated for corruption is paid by the Central Intelligence Agency, officials said, underscoring deep contradictions in American policy there.

I really don't care if the CIA owns the corrupt officials in the Afghan oligarchy. Being sleazy is their job. I do care that those figures do not stay bought.

It is time to wave good bye to those parts and leave them in the tender hands of the Pakistanis. Maybe that will take their attention off Kashmir.
