A Scientist Takes On Gravity
A string theorist is not tethered to the notion of gravity, saying the force is a consequence of thermodynamics.
The reporters wrote a human interest story. Most of the text is noise.
As I read this there may be a real breakthrough with this man's thought.
I will look for the paper and see if I can make sense of it. I will also send the story on to a better educated friend of mine. As I understand it string theory is an open system. The mathematics of strings have so far defeated me. This does not read here as strings.
He says gravity is very real but perhaps not fundamental. I think it really does not matter why space time is curved, the facts stand. Newton was never discredited. His understanding was extended with another term. A less exciting view.
