The Teachers’ Unions’ Last Stand

How President Obama’s Race to the Top could revolutionize public education.

Meaningful measurement is still the problem.

Solve that and the fight dies.

In the mean time perhaps one could get the union to select who is thrown to the wolves.

The religious schools will not get money from the public purse.

I have been wondering what the purpose of public education is. I think it is nation building. Our nation is distinctly secular. We left gods out of it until 1954. They do not share.
