Teachers Always Show Up

To base teachers' pay on test scores is absolutely ridiculous since student achievement varies greatly. Some students have parents that encourage and support their education while others are not involved in their child's education. Are we assuming that every child has the same intellectual ability? In any given classroom there are high achievers, average, and low achieving students. Maybe we should change the title of "teacher" to "Miracle Worker".
