Teachers Always Show Up

Alas some do not understand what teachers have to put up with in their profession. The total abnegation in doing their jobs, non-paid voluntary overtime, out of their pocket money to supply the urgently needed items for the students, countless hours in their houses preparing for the next subject, going many places to buy needed supplies, etc. But if one sees narrowly, taking the rare bad apples as the representatives of the class then that is mean. Why not take a look at the military budget at 800 billions, or the 700 billions for bankers, then compare it to the meek budget for education? Education and our Public Transit are shortchanged by far. It is time that we redirect our dollars toward these two most strategically important sectors for the future of our country.
