The Némirovsky Paradox

A biography of Irène Némirovsky and a collection of her stories raise questions about her relationship to her Jewish roots.

I just don't see the question. She rejected her Jewish roots. The Nazis did not. She died of a part of herself she did her best to excise. Sad but not extraordinary.

This was not a happy reviewer.
