Don’t Cry for Wall Street
Financial reform is like treating a tumor that is rooted in the body. The many capillaries and branches of the tumor are all over the sick body. To eradicate the ill one must almost kill the body. Wall Street has so many working class clients, who believe one day they will strike the lottery of Wall Street to retire in a island of sanity. These are the people who should join Obama urging him to do more to stop this racket, but alas they still, stubbornly, believe Wall Street will rise from its ashes to enrich them. The truth is the Phoenix will bleed them with his claw ad infinitum.
Prometheus or Sisiphus rather than the Phoenix. Roc on.
