The Pope and the Pedophilia Scandal

I'd like to think this horrific story would be sufficient for most sensible people to recognize the folly of religion and allowing themselves to be controlled by ideologues, but people tend to be weak and gullible and so desperate for artificial comfort from the normal vicissitudes of life I think it's more likely they'll just go find another way to make themselves obedient to religion. As P.T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

The kool Aid is always available. The seventeenth century should not be repeated.
