Providing beds this winter to people living on the street is part of a collaboration New York City has created with religious organizations to fight homelessness.

I object on the grounds of separation of church and state.

The churches do charity as is their duty.
Charity is never big enough to support most of the strangers.
Secular government does entitlements which can but often do not support all the desperate.
Among the desperate are the homeless.
Because the homeless travel at will their entitlements must be national.
What is bare existence in one place is luxury in another and slow death in a third.
All of congress is local representatives none of whom are interested in keeping strangers in luxury.
Entitlements are and will be skint.

When cut into larger chunks and positioned next to the fire, rather than over it, vegetables turn sweet, soft and charred at the edges. (Article plus video.)

I will light the fire in the kitchen soon.
Wood makes more and better flavor than charcoal.

Speedy Help for Victims of College Fraud

The government should provide relief to students who were obviously victimized by predatory for-profit schools.

Class action suits seem appropriate.

The money has mostly been distributed to stockholders and is probably not recoverable.  Debt forgivness for the victims of fraud looks fair to me.
The directors and administrations are probably criminally liable.
